Visiting this museum is located in a Canarian seventeenth century manor house offers the opportunity to understand and enjoy of the evolution of music in the Canaries, from the sounds they create indigenous two thousand years ago to listen now every corner of the archipelago , stopping at all those influences that shaped our music and culture. This discourse develops through the different rooms of a manor house of the XVII century and of course, taking as a guideline figure and multifaceted work of Néstor Álamo (1906-1994) , who also devoted much of his life to research , recovering traditions , and ultimately to disclose history and culture of Gran Canaria.
The building itself is an estimable example of typical Canarian manor houses traditional character which is accessed through a hallway that leads to the outdoor patio , which are distributed around thedifferent rooms . Its common to other buildings in the city Guide facade retains a broad framework of stonework arranged vertically along the two plants. As a special feature in this house , the kitchen is upstairs , then downstairs settled here for more than a century, many textile shops and bookstores.
